As an environmentally friendly plasticizer, directly adding it into acetic acid emulsion or VAE emulsion can effectively increase the viscosity of the emulsion and has a good thickening effect.

It can undergo polymerization reaction with monomers such as vinyl acetate and butyl acrylate to produce soft polymer emulsion with tensile strength, which is used in packaging adhesives, pressure-sensitive adhesives, and textile printing emulsions. After the adhesive is formed into a film, it has high tensile strength and good resilience; and the product has low odor.
It can also be used in coating resins and in synthetic acrylic resins to effectively reduce the viscosity of the resin.
It can be used in polyurethane materials as an environmentally friendly plasticizer to improve the flexibility and elasticity of the system. It has good compatibility with polyurethane and is less prone to yellowing than benzoate plasticizers, and has a good viscosity reduction effect.
